Lead Compliance Associate

Capitol Hill

Full-time

The Lead Compliance Associate plays a key role in supporting TDFCU’s compliance management program. This position works closely with the AVP of Compliance to monitor regulatory requirements, review policies and procedures, assist with examinations and audits, and help ensure day-to-day operations align with federal and state regulations. The role also provides guidance to staff, supports training efforts, and serves as a point of contact for compliance-related questions across the credit union.

Education and Experience

  • Two to five years of experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or a related function within a financial institution or financial services environment is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Industry certifications such as CUCE, CUCO, or similar are highly desirable, or a willingness to obtain certification
  • Minimum requirement: two years of experience working in a financial institution with a strong desire to learn and support compliance and member value

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across departments
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret and work with regulatory documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Collections Manager

Capitol Hill

Full-time

The Collections Manager oversees TDFCU’s collections and recovery activities, focusing on minimizing delinquency and losses while maintaining strong, respectful member relationships. This role leads and supports collections staff, monitors portfolio performance, ensures compliance with applicable federal regulations and internal policies, and collaborates closely with lending and member service teams.

The Collections Manager is also responsible for evaluating and refining collection processes, reviewing portfolio trends, and supporting strategies that balance effective risk management with a fair, ethical, and member-focused approach.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in collections, loss mitigation, lending, or credit management within a financial institution
  • Working knowledge of applicable NCUA regulations, bankruptcy processes, and consumer lending practices
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proficiency with core processing systems, loan servicing platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead staff, manage performance, and handle sensitive member situations with professionalism
