The USA Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. These procedures are designed to prevent crimes, such as identity theft and account fraud that terrorists commit to finance their operations against the U.S.
How does TDFCU's compliance with the Act affect you? If you open an account or make changes to one, you will be asked information that will allow us to identify you, such as your name, address, and date of birth. We will also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying government-issued documents. We will ask only for information that is required by the law.
